The benefit of
BEHOLDIGNG..later in chapter it says that our HEADS (authority) will be exalted
above our enemies! Also, to look at it another way, visions can be given to us
for others protection..that they may be exalted above their enemies!
‘INQUIRE” is
baqar..which means to seek, to LOOK FOR, to consider, to reflect

God
will not let us ‘advance’ in ministry until He has tested us in this area!!!
Are our motives PURE??? Are we wanting to SERVE or be SERVED??? The Bible says
we are to BLESS our enemies and PRAY for those who persecute us. John said we
should LOVE in WORD and DEED.
Opposites : Light----darkness
Love---hate
Remember..John uses love/light interchangelbly.
JOHN
USES THE WORDS LOVE/LIGHT INTERCHANGEBLY..WE CANNOT WALK IN LOVE IF WE ARE NOT
WALKING IN LIGHT, AND VISA VERSA!

Jesus healed blind people, He removed scales from their eyes, and they looked

Seeing in future for purpose of future ministry.. (visions of persons, hearing
names, etc)
And He said, "To you it has been given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of
God, but to the rest it is given in parables, that 'Seeing they may not see, And
hearing they may not understand.'

PARTICIPATION! kind of fellowship, not just surface. We need to be in a body of

about properties of blood in general:

Washes
away wastes; infection
What
happens to part of body when it becomes separated and blood cannont flow
freely?? (gangrene)
THERE
IS A LOT OF GANGRENE IN BODY OF CHIRST TODAY!!! Because we are not walking in
KOINOIA with each other.

Cleansing means to (cure, carry away, to consecrate, to make free from guilt.
Comes from root word which means to prune, to make pure as ‘no mixture’ to be

John 17 Jesus said his joy is made FULL in us being one…JoyCHARA
in Hebrew means FULL joy..which also means to THRIVE/BE WELL

John saw
an open door in heaven, and He heard God say COME UP…question..How did he go
UP???
HOW DO
WE GO UP?? Thru the open door?? (Phillipians 4…by MEDITATING)
HEBREWS 5:14
But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by
reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
By reason of use…HABIT..exercising spiritual senses. We have to EXERCISE our
spiritual senses; our spiritual eyes in this case.
Keys to activating our spiritual senses
1.
Open up the door. Rev. 3:20 INTIMACY removes the veil of our hearts (compare to
SoS chapter 5)
Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the
door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.
We need to learn to
open up the DOORs to heaven (this verse is commonly used for salvation, but the
verb knocking..present progressive, He is ALWAYS knocking>..and then John opened
the door and John saw the heavens in chapter 4!
Intimacy; knowing HIM is the foundation for having heavenly encounters!!! How do
we know a vision/encounter is really from him? We will know by the effect it has
on our heart.

TRUST!!OVERCOME FEAR OF UNKNOWN!
God gives us Spirit not stones. We need to have revelation of Fathers love. John
5:10.. Jesus shows us the things the Lord is doing. SONS see what the Father is
doing!! So we can see what HE is doing!
3.
BE KINGDOM of HEAVEN-MINDED.where
is the kingdom Matt 6:4..your kingdom COME..WHEN U PRAY!!! That means His
kingdom is NOT on the earth right now! He is saying to WELCOME His supernatural
realm! Ask ourselves..what do we expect to see in heaven?? Angels, heavenly
creatures, etc? Then that means we can see NOW into the heavenlies. Pray for
supernatural visitations.
We are seated with Christ in heavenly places..come BOLDLY BEFORE THE THRONE!!
The kingdom of heaven is within you..our body is temple of Holy Spirit!! How
many times do we ask the Lord to come down, or we ask the Lord to take us up?

Habakuk (2) was FIRST a watchman (as prophets that is our FIRST ministry! We
MUST have a HEART, right attitudes! Toward people we are ministering to. God’s
heart, not our own!
Purpose of visions: Proverbs 29:18...Where there is no vision the people perish
(cast off restraint)
The word for vision there is chazone..which means ;vision in night (dream),
vision in ecsatic state (chaza, psalms 27, BEHOLD the beauty of the Lord)
vision, oracle, prophesy (divine communication)
He wants us to see into HIS LIGHT..and recieve divine communications. This
should encourage us as 'seers' prophets..beside just communing with HIM in
visions, (beholding the BEAUTY of the LORD) we also 'see' for purposes of our
own guidence but also for others.
QUOTE FROM BILL JOHNSON: Jesus once called a group of onlookers hypocrites
because they could discern the weather but couldn't discern the times. It's
apparent why Jesus would prefer people to recognize the times (spiritual climate
and seasons) over natural weather conditions--but it's not quite so apparent why
He would consider them hypocrites if they didn't.
Many of us have thought that the ability to see into the spiritual realm is more
the result of a special gift than a personal responsibility for everyone. Jesus
addressed this charge to the Pharisees and Sadducees. The very fact that they,
of all people, were required to see is evidence enough that everyone has been
given this ability. They became blind to His domain because of their own
corrupted heart, and were judged for their unfulfilled potential
Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth."
He also stated,
"For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen
are eternal."
The Bible clearly instructs us to turn our attention towards the invisible. This
theme is repeated enough in scripture to make most of us from this Western
culture quite nervous. We tend to prefer the material world.
Yet, herein lies the secret to much of the supernatural realm that we want
restored to the church. Jesus told us that He only did what He saw His Father
do. Such an insight is vital for those who want more. The power of His actions
(i.e. the mud in the eye of the blind) is rooted in His ability to see.

Visions are given to us for HOPE..to know His riches, our inheritance, and our
callings in Him. Any so called vision that doesnt have this as a basis (doesnt
give hope, or at least have an option of 'grace' should be questioned!)
Waiting in Hebrew:
Last verse.WAIT on the Lord (Last verse.WAIT on the Lord very rich
word..QUAVAH>>means to twist, to bind together, to be strong/robust (twisting a
STRONG rope..to look eagerly for..to collect, to lie in wait for, like denotes a
determination to wait/perserverance NOT JUST IDLE WAITING..like one would wait
for friend on side of road, determined NOT to go on journey alone..
